Sabi Sands Game Reserve
Sabi Sands Private Game reserve is located adjacent to Kruger National Park which lies to it’s Eastern border. It is made up of a number of private game reserves:
- Mala Mala Game Reserve
- Djuma Game Reserve
- Lion Sands Reserve
- Exeter Private Game Reserve
- Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve
- Londolozi Private Game Reserve
- Singita Game Reserve
- Ulusaba Private Game Reserve
An abundance of wildlife is found within Sabi Sands during the game drives and walking safaris offering amazing photographic opportunities with spa and gym facilities available at some of the properties. Night time game drives are also available and dinner is usually taken under an African sky in a traditional Boma.
Getting There & Getting Around
International visitors may chose to drive up from Johannesburg but the journey will take several hours by road. Mpumalanga International Airport is located a Nelspruit and from there, the drive is around 3 hours. Alternatively, there are a couple of airstrips in Sabi Sands. Flying time from Johannesburg is around an hour.
Weather
The weather in Mpumalanga is generally hot and humid. Late afternoon may bring short but heavy thunderstorms during the summer months (October – March). The average daily temperatures in Celcius:
