Getting There

Sun City is about 2 hours drive from Johannesburg so you have the option of hiring a car and driving yourself or pre-booking a transfer to the resort from Johannesburg.

Weather

Sun City is a temperate year round destination so there’s no specific best time to go. Win or lose on the casino floor, the consistent weather in this part of the world are the safest odds to bet on.

Winter is characterised by dry, warm days and cold nights, while summer is full of hot days, cool evenings and the occasional thunderstorm.

Who it suits?

Sun City has something for very one. Golfers can play on one of the two 18 hole golf courses (watch out for the crocodiles on the 13th).

Gamblers can spend their time in the casinos or why not head off in search of the ‘Big Five’ at the nearby Pilansberg Game Reserve. There is plenty for the kids too.
