Blyde River Canyon
The Blyde River Canyon is the third deepest canyon in the world and it is one of the most stunning sights in South Africa. The canyon is 16 miles long and an average of 800m deep. By comparison to the Grand Canyon, the Blyde River Canyon is a green canyon due to the rich foliage in the area.
It is part of the famous Panorama Route which commences at Graskop and includes God’s Window, the Pinnacle and Borke’s Luck Potholes.
