Ballito

On KwaZulu Natal’s North coast, the seaside town of Ballito is 30 minutes from Durban. A favourite with locals, this location bursts at the seams in season. Backed by sugar cane fields and fronted by the Indian Ocean, Ballito’s location is part of its charm. Using it as a base offers countless family activities including river rafting on the Tugela, skydiving, dolphin viewing, microlight flights, scuba diving and snorkelling. Hotel accommodation in both Ballito and Umhlanga Rocks is limited but self-catering flats are abound.
