Durban

Take an early morning stroll along Durban’s “Golden Mile” beachfront and you’ll marvel at the picturesque diversity of the “Rainbow Nation”. From swimming, surfing and volleyball to baptisms, sand artists and cyclists. It’s a dynamic microcosm of a city that’s alive and doing well.

Getting There & Around

Durban is served by the new Durban International Airport which is just to the north of the city. There are links to several other cities in South Africa and the number of international routes is also on the increase.

If you are using Durban as a base to explore KwaZulu Natal, you may want to consider hiring a car to give you full flexibility in getting around. One of the iconic travel options in Durban is the rickshaw and it is something every visitor to Durban should experience.
