Table Mountain
Whether it’s covered in cloud or basking in the sun, Table Mountain is Cape Town’s defining landmark. Walk up the mountain or take the state-of-the-art revolving cable car to the cable station situated at 1,067m. Either way, you’ll be in your element; the view from the top is truly breathtaking. While you’re up there you can walk (be sure to take warm clothing), shop, eat and survey what’s beyond from one of the telescopes.
Local adventure companies offer a Table Mountain abseil as one of their packages. The 112m controlled drop is sure to get your blood pumping. If you’re walking up the mountain, take a good map, water, a hat and sunblock.
