A short boat ride away, is the legendary Robben Island and the prison cell of the world loved and admired former President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela.

Getting There & Around

Cape Town International Airport (CPT) is one of the two main international gateways to South Africa and is the third busiest airport in Africa. As well as flight connections to most areas of the globe, Cape Town also has links to most domestic airports in South Africa so once you arrive in Cape Town, flying to your final destination.

In Cape Town itself, taxis are the best way to get around or alternatively, if you are planning to explore the surrounding area, a hire car should be considered.
